Orange Banana Smoothie

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned oats (dry)
  • 1 orange, zested, peeled, and quartered
  • Half of a peeled banana, frozen
  • 2 dates, pitted and chopped
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk
  • 3/4 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1 cup ice cubes (or more, depending on how thick you like your smoothie)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Blend oats in a high-power blender until powdery.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. 
  3. Pour into 16-ounce glass.

Time-Saver Tips:

  • Peel and halve bananas in advance and freeze in freezer bags until ready for use.
  • I also like to prep the oranges and dates for 2 to 3 smoothies and store as individual portions in the fridge.
